Founded and headquartered in Vienna, Julius Meinl is a family-owned company in its fifth generation and one of the oldest and largest coffee brands in the world. Around 160 years ago, the company revolutionized the coffee industry with the invention of the modern roasting process, and still roasts in Vienna to this day using the method that gives its coffee its distinctive flavor.

Meinl continues to serve as an ambassador for Vienna, its internationally-renowned coffeehouses, and coffee around the world. In recent decades, the company has expanded into 70 countries and established a state-of-the-art roasting facility in Italy as a continuation of its generational commitment to high quality standards and sustainable, stable growth and financial success.

With expanding operations in multiple countries, Meinl faced the challenge of managing complete payment processing within its ERP system. The company needed a fully integrated solution to handle payment processing for all subsidiaries and streamline the processing of account statements within SAP. Key requirements included seamless ERP integration, unified bank connectivity, and above all, excellent security standards.

  • Automatic Posting: Payments, including cross-company code transfers, are posted automatically.
  • Streamlined Payment Runs: Payment runs are processed directly in SAP, eliminating the need for export/import into separate banking systems. Employee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with 100% acceptance attributed to the inclusive approach to projects.
